1. Who we are
Chakri.ai operates web and related products under the Chakri brand, including hiring tools, job-seeker tools, marketplace features, AI interviews, credits, and sister experiences that may connect to your Chakri account (for example Learning Chat or AI Interview surfaces when linked). 2. Information we collect
2.1 Account & identity
Depending on how you register and use Chakri, we may collect:
- Name, email address, username, password (stored as a hash), avatar
- Phone number, country code, and phone verification status
- Role / workspace type (e.g. job seeker or recruiter) and related onboarding data
- Google account identifiers if you sign in with Google OAuth
- Company details for recruiters (name, industry, website, description, contacts, documents you upload for verification)
- Identity or education verification materials you choose to submit (for example National ID, birth certificate, photo, signature, or education track information), where those flows are enabled
2.2 Profile, CV & career data
- Portfolio and profile content (headline, about, location, skills, experience, education, projects, certifications, languages, links, preferences)
- Uploaded résumés/CVs, parsed résumé data, ATS or match-related scores
- Job applications, auto-apply activity, tailored CVs/cover letters, and application status metadata
- Marketplace listings, opportunities, inquiries, milestones, and negotiation messages
2.3 Communications
- Direct messages and inbox content between users
- Messages with Chakri AI agents (recruiter, seeker, project, or similar assistants)
- Support or waitlist submissions (including optional location fields if you provide them)
2.4 AI interviews & assessments
- Interview sessions, transcripts, answers, scores, skill evaluations, and generated reports
- Where enabled, proctoring-related signals (e.g. integrity events, device/fingerprint or severity metadata)
- Mock interview / prep session content you generate in-product
2.5 Payments, credits & payouts
- Credit balances and transaction history (e.g. silver/gold coin ledgers)
- Purchase or checkout metadata for packs, Pro plans, or paid tools
- Withdrawal requests and payout details you submit (such as a bKash number)
Payment rails may include local methods (e.g. bKash) or other processors we enable over time. Card or gateway details, if introduced, are typically handled by the payment provider; we receive status and reference information needed to fulfill your order.
2.6 Technical & usage data
- IP address, user agent, device identifiers, approximate security signals (e.g. signup/login device keys)
- Login and sign-in event history where available in your settings
- Product usage events (e.g. searches, feature usage) needed to operate and improve the service
- Cookies and similar technologies described below
3. How we use information
We use personal data to:
- Create and secure accounts, verify email/phone, and prevent fraud or abuse
- Provide matching, job discovery, applications, recruiter screening, and marketplace features
- Run AI tools (parsing, ranking, agents, interviews, content generation) as described in Section 4
- Process credits, subscriptions, purchases, and payouts
- Send transactional email (verification, security, product notices) and, where permitted, product updates
- Comply with law, enforce terms, and protect users and the platform
- Improve reliability, safety, and product quality
4. AI processing
Chakri uses artificial intelligence to power core product features. This may include résumé parsing and generation, job/talent matching and ranking, recruiter CV screening, agentic chat assistants, auto-apply workflows, interview questioning and scoring, skill or fit signals, and related content generation (for example job descriptions or builder tools).
To deliver these features, relevant content you provide or generate on Chakri (such as CVs, job descriptions, chat messages, or interview responses) may be processed by our systems and by third-party AI infrastructure providers we use to run models (for example cloud LLM providers configured for Chakri). We do not sell your personal data. AI outputs are assistive and may be inaccurate; they are not a guarantee of employment, hiring decisions, or payment outcomes.
Embeddings or similar representations may be stored to power search and matching. You should not submit sensitive information that is not needed for the feature you are using.
5. Sharing & processors
We may share information with:
- Other users, according to your role and privacy settings — e.g. recruiters may see applications and profile information you make available; seekers may see company and job data
- Service providers that help us operate Chakri (hosting/database, email delivery, authentication providers such as Google, AI model providers, analytics or infrastructure vendors we engage)
- Payment providers when you buy credits/plans or request payouts
- Authorities or advisors when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
- Business transfers if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to appropriate protections
Linked sister products (such as Learning Chat or AI Interview) may receive limited account or session information when you connect or launch them from Chakri, solely to provide the linked experience.
6. Cookies & devices
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential operation, including:
- Authentication and session continuity (e.g. access tokens and related session cookies)
- Device recognition for security and abuse prevention (e.g. device identifiers)
- Preferences you store locally (such as remembered email, where enabled)
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent login or core features from working.
7. Retention & security
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal or accounting requirements. Application, interview, message, and credit records may be retained for operational history even after individual files are replaced or features are unused.
We use industry-standard safeguards appropriate to our stage (access controls, encrypted transport, hashed passwords, and operational security practices). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Please use a strong unique password and protect your devices.
Uploaded files (CVs, verification documents, scan batches) are stored on our infrastructure for product functionality. Limit uploads to documents you are authorized to share.
8. Your rights & controls
Subject to applicable law and product capabilities, you may:
- Access and update profile and settings information in your account
- Adjust portfolio/profile privacy controls (for example visibility of location or social links)
- Manage notification and communication preferences where available
- Request account deletion or data assistance by contacting us
To exercise a privacy request, email hello@chakri.ai from your registered address. We may verify your identity before acting on a request. Some data may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or legitimate business records.
9. Minors
Chakri is primarily intended for people seeking work or hiring talent. Certain verification or education tracks may allow school students under 18 to use limited features with appropriate identity documents. If you are under 18, you should only use Chakri with a parent or guardian's involvement where required by law. We do not knowingly collect data from young children for marketing purposes. If you believe a child has provided data inappropriately, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
10. International transfers
Chakri is operated with a Bangladesh focus, but our processors and AI infrastructure may be located in other countries. Where data is transferred internationally, we take steps designed to ensure an appropriate level of protection consistent with this Policy and applicable law.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-product notice when appropriate. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
